Two products, one connected ecosystem

Everend Forge follows an open-core model. The standalone applications are free and open source. Everend Forge Suite is the commercial desktop bundle that brings them together with a unified workflow, integration, packaging, license activation, updates, and commercial support.

Standalone applications

These public repositories are available independently under MIT OR Apache-2.0, unless a particular file states otherwise:

• WorldNotion — local Markdown vault and worldbuilding workspace.
• PathBranching — visual branching narrative editor and runtime export tool.
• Compendium — readable and publishable world reference.

The open-source license gives users the rights described by MIT or Apache-2.0, including the rights to use, modify, and redistribute the applicable software, subject to the license terms and notices.

What the Suite license covers

A purchase of Everend Forge Suite grants a personal license to use the commercial bundled product. The commercial terms apply to Suite-specific code and features such as the unified desktop shell, integration layer, packaging, activation, update channel, and related original assets.

The Suite license does not remove or replace the open-source rights of WorldNotion, PathBranching, Compendium, or other components that are distributed under their own licenses. When those components are used or redistributed, their applicable license texts, copyright notices, and attribution requirements continue to apply.

Branding

Open-source code licenses do not grant permission to use Everend Forge names, logos, or branding for unrelated products. You may identify the original projects when describing or redistributing them, but do not imply endorsement or affiliation where none exists.
